Daily Practice
Note: It is important to remember that children learn by repetition! Repeating the same name page or video is key for teaching preschoolers. We may get bored with it, but they love it and will learn from the repetition. These Daily Practice resources can even be extended for use all week long, not just school days!

▸ Activity #1- Capital and Lowercase Matching
Print the “Capital and Lowercase Matching” worksheets. There are two worksheets, you may have a child that will need more help and getting through one page is enough, for some of our students heading to kinder this may be quick and they may be more independent once they get started and understand.
▸ Activity #2 – Count and Color
Print the “Count and Color” worksheet. We are practicing our counting and number recognition. The first page asks you to count then color in the correct number. The second page is a little more difficult and asks you to color in the correct amount.
▸ Activity #3 – Insect Review
Review with your child that there are 4 things that make an insect an insect:
- They all have a hard outer skin (exoskeleton)
- They have three body parts (head, thorax, abdomen)
- They all have antenna (they use these to feel and smell)
- They all have six legs.
Print the “Insect Review” and “Insect Labels” worksheets. Cut out the labels and help your child identify the parts of the insect.

▸ Activity #1 – Writing Capitals and Lowercase Letters
Print the “Writing Capitals and Lowercase Letters,” worksheets. Using the alphabet chart, help your child find the letter that matches the flower. If the capital letter is on the flower they need to write the lowercase. If the lowercase letter is on the flower pot they need to write the capital.
Again, make adjustments to fit your child’s needs. For our younger students this may be too difficult and it may be helpful to repeat Tuesday’s activity or print the second page from Wednesday.
▸ Activity #2- Count and Compare
Print the “Count and Compare” worksheet. Your child will be counting the items and then coloring the item that has more.
▸ Activity #3 – Ladybug Symmetry
